Revamping ligne de Galvanisation

TataSteel is one of the Worldwide leaders in the steel industry. Segal is one of Tatasteel's automotive galvanizing line located in Liège, Belgium

Segal is producing around 550kT/y of galvanized flat steel. IPS have collaborated to a large revamping to increase output to 600kT/y. Improvements on the line were focused on the loopers, the installation of an inductor and extra cooling in the furnace, the replacement of the Water Quench and the revamping of the Skin Pass Mill. All works requiring line stop were grouped in a 3-week shutdown, executing more than 50 000 man-hour in 22 days.
