Gataccomodation is a hotel chain that started in Barcelona with a couple of small hostels in the city center and expanded to Paris and Berlin with the slogan: "the luxury of sleeping for little money ".
The existing building was demolished despite minorparts of the bearing structure.The inneryard was newly rebuilt as well as the main front façade. The hotel offers today: reception hall, breakfast room, Chill out bar, restaurant (55 people), service area in basement, 140 guest rooms and suites on 7 floors.
In groundfloor are situated the chill out bar, breakfast area, restaurant, reception and bak office and service areas. There are toilet areas for visitors in groundfloor as well as in the basement. Staff rooms, as well as bathrooms, showers, cloackrooms together with technical rooms and storage areas are located in the basement. Floors 1 to 7 contain the 140 rooms and suites.
The existing prefabricated façade was absolutely modified and substituted by a new double skin fenolic panel façade, changing completely its image.
All technical installations were newly built corresponding to the needs of the hotel.
