Making the most of uncertainty
IPS continues to stand with our partners to build a better world.
Note: Yannick Vega Fernandez, our Business Enabler, and Ivaila Petrova, General Manager of IPS Germany, recently wrote this message for our customers and LinkedIn followers. We think it encapsulates our current priorities and continued efforts and are pleased to share it with you here.
In times of uncertainty, what are the priorities for your company? At Group-IPS, we’ve increased our focus on three key things: the health and wellbeing of our customers and employees, our continued partnership with our customers, and our unwavering commitment to quality. We know that it remains as important as ever for our customers to maximize their investments and optimize their production flows and capacity.
In fact, these weeks of low operational activity are highly suitable for the revision of business objectives based on analysis of productivity and operational efficiency. The past few weeks have highlighted the strengths of Group-IPS. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are core benefits of our company methodology. Clear communication across borders and time zones is also key to what we do. We have long carried out major service offerings, including Strategic Consulting, remotely. In fact, these weeks of low operational activity are highly suitable for the revision of business objectives based on analysis of productivity and operational efficiency.
IPS can typically jump in at the master-planning stage and guide customers until production. As an example of one of our recent achievements, we master-planned a project for a major pharmaceutical company to increase the production capacity over a period of 15 years—work that is now part of the company’s long-term business plan.
Our Digital Supply Chain and Operations team has helped optimize the production flows and capacity of major players in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and primary industries, allowing them to reduce the investments needed for production capacity increase by optimizing and boosting their current operations. The majority of these studies are performed off-site using digital data sources and complex simulations of production operations. IPS can continue to provide support of this nature to any of its customers, despite the current shutdowns.
Finally, a note to our customers who are grappling with the uncertainty of the present moment. We at IPS always like to say that “there is no ‘us’ and ‘them,’ only a unified ‘we.’” That’s truer today than it ever has been. Let’s continue to form partnerships that support our economies and create lasting benefits for our communities.
